The Chinese manufacturer TCL has unveiled the all-new BlackBerry Key 2 around two months ago at New York. Soon after which the device was launched in other markets including UAE, UK, Canada followed by the recent Indian launch. Now, the latest appearance on FCC reveals that the company is already working on a subdued version of the device called as BlackBerry Key2 Lite.

As per the FCC listing, the device will be named as BlackBerry KEY2 LE, where LE most probably stands for “Lite Edition” carrying the model number as BBE100 followed by a code that indicates the region a variant is intended for. Additionally, the listing reveals the image below that you’ll find on the retail box of the Key 2 LE having model number BBE100-5, and product number PRD-65005-700.

Recently, the popular leakster Evan Blass posted an image showcasing the back of a device codenamed as BlackBerry Luna, also mentioned being known as BlackBerry Key2 Lite. The device sports dual cameras at the back and looks more or less similar to the Key2.

Believe it or not, earlier, a BlackBerry device with a similar model number was spotted on GeekBench. The device has a model number BBE100-2 meaning that it is the same Key2 Lite but intended for some other region. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC and has 4GB of RAM, lesser than the 6GB found on the Key2.

Counting in the FCC and GeekBench report, it is evident that the BlackBerry Key2 Lite aka Key2 LE (officially) will inherit the same processor from the previously launched Key2, however, will sport relatively less amount of RAM than the latter. We expect it to have 64GB of onboard storage. It is also said that the LE will be crafted out of plastic instead of aluminium.

The BlackBerry Key2 LE is expected to be unveiled at the IFA trade show held in Berlin which will actually stretch from August-end till the first week of September. As of now, BlackBerry India has scheduled a new smartphone launch in India on August 2.

A few days ago Xiaomi officially revealed their upcoming flagship smartphone, the Mi 9. Mi 9 is scheduled to be launched on Feb 20, just four days from now, in China. However, the details of the Mi 9 was not revealed by the company at the time of revealing.

Now Xiaomi has left the fans surprised by giving out detailed information about the Triple camera setup on board the Mi 9. They also released camera samples to show the capabilities of the camera.

Along with the details about the camera, Xiaomi also gave some hints about the Mi 9 display along with the upcoming space grey variant of the device. The camera samples were released through the official Twitter handle of Xiaomi earlier today. The camera samples included the pictures taken using individual lenses in the triple camera setup. The main sensor is a 48MP, f/1.75, 6P lens unit employing the 4-in-1 Super Pixel technology. The secondary camera is a 16MP ultra wide sensor capable of capturing 117 degree FOV (Field of View) with f/2.2 aperture and a 6P lens configuration. It is capable of taking 4cm macro shots according to the camera samples. It means that the Mi 9 will be able to focus on objects from just 4cm away without losing the details. The 16MP secondary lens also supports Auto-Focus. Apparently, it uses an anti-distortion algorithm for loseless photography as revealed by Xiaomi co-founder in a post on Weibo. Other camera features includes the use of laser auto focus, utilizing a combination of PDAF and CDAF. Speaking of other attractions, the Mi 9’s chin is just 3.4mm thin and is about 40% slimmer than the Mi 8 according to reports.
