The Chinese OEM-TCL has unveiled the BlackBerry Key 2 back in June at New York, later followed by the Indian launch. Earlier, a new BlackBerry device was spotted on FCC and speculated to be the Blackberry Key2 LE– a toned down version of the original Key2. Now, we have the full specifications and the press render of this upcoming smartphone.
The Key2 LE looks a lot similar to the Key2 in terms of overall design language, however, the keyboard looks more like the one on Blackberry KeyOne. This lite version of the Key2 will skimp on the trackpad functionality, while the space bar button as usual doubles up as the fingerprint scanner. The back is exactly the same as its elder brother Key2.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the blackberry Key2 LE will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with Adreno 509 GPU. Furthermore, it will pack 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of onboard storage, inferior to the Key2 powered by Snapdragon 660.
The Key2 LE will sport a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1620 x 1080pixels resolution, same as the Key2. In the optics department, we now have a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel set up, compared to the dual 12-megapixel configuration on the latter.
It packs a relatively smaller 3000mAh battery compared to the 3500mAh on the Key2. Moreover, it is reported to measure 150.25 x 71.8 x 8.35mm and seems pretty light at 156 grams.
As of now, we don’t have any information about the pricing but given that the Key2 sells for $650, we expect the Key2 LE to be priced lower, somewhere around $400. Anyways, let us wait for the upcoming leaks and reports. Till then, stay tuned.

Ahead of the announcement, a tipster has revealed new information about the Redmi flagship smartphone. There was a leak earlier this month which suggested the device will be named as Redmi K20 Pro and now tipster Ishan Agarwal revealed that the upcoming phones from the Chinese manufacturer will indeed be named as Redmi K20 and a higher variant Redmi K20 Pro.
The tipster further claims that both the devices will come in a Carbon Fibre Black, Glacier Blue, and Flame Red color options. The Redmi K20 will come in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB storage configurations. As for the Pro variant, it will have the same storage options with an additional 8GB + 128GB variant.
Over the past weeks, we know a lot about the Redmi flagship smartphone from the leaks as well from the official hints and teasers. The smartphones codenamed “davinci” and “raphael” will be powered by the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The company also launched a new video which hints that the company’s next flagship smartphone will come with a pop-up camera. The pop-up camera seems to be placed a little towards the left side of the upper edge and not the center.
In terms of pricing, the smartphone will be priced higher than the higher variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro as the company would not want to affect its sales. It will likely be priced in the range of Poco F1. We don’t have to wait much as the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro is expected to be launched by the end of this month of the start of June.
