Black Shark laucnhed their first gaming smartphone back in April last year. The Chinese manufacturer went on to release the Black Shark Helo that came with 10GB RAM and 256GB storage combination with other specs remaining same as the former. The company is now planning to launch its third gaming device. Dubbed as Black Shark Skywalker, it recently appeared in benchmarking site GeekBench revealing some of its specs.
According to the GeekBench listing, the Black Shark Skywalker is spotted with ‘msmnile” chipset which is the codename of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Along with the 7nm Soc it will be coupled with 8GB RAM. The device managed to score 3,494 and 11,149 on single core and multi-core tests respectively.
The scores are very similar to the recently benchmarked Xperia XZ4 which is also powered by the same handset. The SD 855 scores are the first to cross the 10,000 barrier in an Android device and are currently done only by the Apple devices housing the A11 Bionic and A12 Bionic chips.
The latest SD 855 is also the first chipset from the company to support the 5G network though it should have the proper X50 modem embedded in it. The handsets powered by the same chipset without 5G connectivity will likely to come with X24 modem. There is no word about the launch but we can expect it to be available in the first quarter of this year.
