Asus Zenfone 6 teased with bezel-less design, to be launched on May 16!

Asus will launch its latest device in the Zenfone series – the Zenfone 6 on the 16th of May. Today, the brand has officially teased the handset which reveals some hints regarding the design.

Asus posted a render of the Zenfone 6 on Twitter titled “Embrace the extraordinary revolution”. The tagline used by the brand for the Zenfone 6 is “Defy Ordinary” which hints at a unique design aspect. Take a look at the tweet below.

The image shows a bezel-less, notch-free design in the front. Asus has provided an event page where the livestream will be broadcasted. It also provides a count-down timer, reminder registration, and a Add to Calendar option. The device will be the successor to the Asus Zenfone 5 which got launched last year.

The event will take place in Valencia, Spain, on May 16 at 11.30 PM IST. The Asus Zenfone 6 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 chipset. A dual slider mechanism for both front and rear cameras is also rumored on the handset. In terms of software, it will run on Google’s latest operating system Android Pie right out of the box.

Asus Zenfone 6 is rumored to have a Full-HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. It will have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There will be a minimum of 6 GB of RAM on the Zenfone 6 coupled with 128 GB of internal storage. The volume rockers and the power button are mounted to the right of the device. The power button is placed below the volume rocker.

Other information regarding the smartphone is not known yet. Now that the official launch date is announced, we can expect more teasers from the brand in the upcoming days which will reveal more and more details regarding the Zenfone 6.
